Okko The Exiled Patch Notes & Known Issues

  1. Fix promised

Game freezes if you spam Start while respawning after a death

Developer: Fix promised in an upcoming patch, "hopefully later today".

Until then: Wait for the respawn to finish before pressing Start. If it locks up, players have had to Alt+F4 out.

  2. Fix promised

Control stick drops forward inputs; movement and combat feel wrong on a gamepad stick

Developer: Fix being finished, expected "later tomorrow" (October 1).

Until then: Use the D-pad until the patch lands; a Steam reviewer says it handles much better than the stick.

  3. Under review

Down-attack passes through skulls instead of bouncing

Developer: No hotfix planned; the developer is watching for more reports and suspects the control stick.

Until then: Start the down-attack higher above the skull, and try the D-pad.

  4. Workaround

Double inputs in menus, Okko will not move or jump with a controller

Developer: Steam Input and the game both process the pad. A patch to let Steam Input stay on is being looked at.

Until then: Steam Library → right-click the game → Properties → Controller → Disable Steam Input.

  5. Fix promised

Steam Deck button glyphs and default resolution

Developer: Resolution set correctly at launch; a glyph update to aim for Verified "in a couple of days".

Until then: Set resolution in Options if it looks wrong.

Patch questions

Has Okko The Exiled been patched?

Not as of our October 1 check. The developer has promised fixes for the control-stick input and the death-screen freeze and said both were close. This page is updated when Steam update notes confirm them.

Where does the developer post updates?

On the game's Steam Community forum (pinned threads from frozenflameinteractive) and the Steam news hub. The publisher posts on its own channels.
